VIDEO PAINTING

The video painting collection is a work in progress, designed in avvniere for NFT collectors. The drawings are handmade with a graphic tablet and layered over a video created with a synthesiser. The video paintings can be realised, in a material sense, as paintings etched in plexiglass. The body lines are defined as lines of light and colour, which refer to the corporeity of the human being. By corporeity the artist means the union of soul and body in the dynamics of movement, what various traditions define as the subtle body. With this technique, the reference is to the body composed both artistically and sycophantically by light. The video paintings are characterised by their association with the presence and absence of the human form, in a constant search for a vertical dimension. In this sense, the Parmenidean axiom of 'Being that cannot not be' is questioned in the light of existentialist phenomenological pholosy.
